Error Running VBA Macro in Chinese (Hong Kong) Locale. (166431)

You may receive the following error message when you run a VBA macro in a
document, spreadsheet, or database in the Chinese (Hong Kong) locale:
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being
generated.

RESOLUTION
To run a VBA macro in either Chinese (Taiwan) or Chinese (PRC) locale:
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double click Regional Settings.
- Click the Regional Settings tab.
- Click either Chinese (PRC) or Chinese (Taiwan) locale.
- Click Set As System Default Locale, so that it is selected, and then
click OK.
- Restart your computer to activate the selected system locale.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
