WD6X: Pages Fax Black with MacComCenter Fax Center in MacWord (166179)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, when you send a fax using Smith Micro MacComCenter fax software, all pages that are faxed appear as black pages except for the cover sheet.

Print preview in Word also displays the pages in black.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by an incompatibility between Microsoft Word for the Macintosh and Smith Micro's MacComCenter Version 1.0.4 or earlier, fax product.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to Smith Micro's MacComCenter fax product version 1.3.8 or later.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem between Smith Micro's MacComCenter Version 1.0.3 and earlier faxing software and Microsoft Word for the Macintosh.
