Access Violation Error May Occur While Downloading NetMeeting (166086)

SYMPTOMS

While you are downloading NetMeeting, you may receive an Access Violation error message.

CAUSE

This error can occur if the downloaded file becomes damaged.

RESOLUTION

Download NetMeeting again. If the download seems to finish very rapidly, empty the cache file for your Internet browser and download the NetMeeting file again. You will then receive a new complete copy of the program.

To empty the cache for Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Options on the View menu, and then click the Advanced tab. In the Temporary Internet Files area, click Settings, and then click Empty Folder.
