DreamWorks: Display Problems Using STB Lightspeed 128 (166048)

SYMPTOMS

When you run one of the programs listed at the top of this article on a computer using the STB Lightspeed 128 video card, black squares may appear around the moving parts in the game. For example, the mouse cursor and game levers may be outlined by a black square.

NOTE: The introduction video can look grainy.

CAUSE

When DirectX installs updated video drivers on your computer, your video card may be incorrectly identified as a S3 Vision864 PCI. This video card actually uses the Tseng Labs ET6000 chipset.

The driver available from STB Systems, Inc., as of March 1997, is the LightSpeed 128 Vision 95 Windows 95 Drivers release 1.24b.
