SUMMARY

Vbs32k.exe contains an updated .dll file for Microsoft Outlook 97. The updated file (Outlvbs.dll) removes the 32 KB limit from the Visual Basic Script Editor component of Outlook.

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.

If you create an item with greater than 32 KB of Visual Basic script and send it to a recipient who does not have the updated Outlvbs.dll, that recipient will not be able to edit the code. You can use the old Outlvbs.dll to view the code, but attempts to add or delete code will fail and cause problems. You can use the old Outlvbs.dll to edit items that contain less than 32 KB of code without causing problems.
