Cannot Confirm Encryption on Windows Clients (165788)

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows 3.x clients contain no simple indicators that encryption is enabled.

RESOLUTION

The Windows 3.X and the Windows 95 clients have been updated to show an (E) next to the server name if encryption is enabled.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft SNA Server 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
