TN5250 Server Application Violation Error (165588)

SYMPTOMS

TN5250 Server receives an Access Violation when clients connect to an inactive AS/400 connection.

CAUSE

TN5250 Server generated congested event logs when connection failed which caused a trap to occur.

RESOLUTION

The TN5250 Server service has been updated to correct this problem. The updated file is:

Tn5250.exe

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft SNA Server 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
