Duplicate Windows Explorer File Menu Commands for Fonts Folder (165415)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Windows\Fonts folder in Windows Explorer and then click the File menu, the following four commands may be displayed twice, and one or more instance of each may be unavailable:
   Create Shortcut
   Delete
   Rename
   Properties
				

CAUSE

The special treatment of the Fonts folder has not been fully updated to reflect the addition of Microsoft Plus! features.

MORE INFORMATION

The special treatment of the Fonts folder provides extended menu items in Windows Explorer that allow you to:
  • Install new fonts from the File menu.
  • List fonts by similarity from the View menu.
  • Hide variations from the View menu.
  • Show only TrueType fonts in programs by clicking on the View menu and then clicking the TrueType tab.
This Microsoft Plus! feature is included in Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2), and is added to Windows 95 when you install Microsoft Plus!.
