The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows 95
- Microsoft Word for Windows 95 7.0a

This article was previously published under Q165254 SYMPTOMS
If you define a style to include bullets or numbering, and then turn off
bullets or numbering by typing two paragraph marks in a row (pressing ENTER
twice), the style does not change to the Normal style.
CAUSE
When you turn off bullets or numbering this way, you are applying "no
bullets or numbers" as direct formatting to the paragraph. That is, you are
not changing the style to Normal.
