ACC97: Cannot Save "Publish to the Web" Wizard Files in Root Folder (165055)

SYMPTOMS
When you use the "Publish to the Web" Wizard to create HTML files, if you
try to save the files to the root (\) folder on any drive, you may receive
the following error message:
File not found
Saving HTML files to a root folder is particularly common when you are
using a mapped drive. For example, D:\ on your computer may be mapped to
the C:\Inetsrv\Scripts folder on your Internet server computer.
RESOLUTION
Remove the backslash (\) after the drive letter on the "Where do you want
to publish to?" screen of the "Publish to the Web Wizard." For example,
instead of typing C:\ or D:\, just type C: or D:.
Note that if you select the drive letter using the Browse button on the
wizard screen, the backslash is added automatically. You can delete the
backslash manually in the "I want to put my Web publication in this
folder" box.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97. We
are researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
