SBFM97: Total Monthly Payments Calculation Is Incorrect (164745)

SYMPTOMS

The Total Monthly Payments and Present Value of Payments calculations may be incorrect when you perform a Buy vs. Lease analysis.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

  • You use the What-If Wizard (on the Accounting menu) to run a Buy vs. Lease analysis. -and-

  • You type any value other than 12 in the Payments Per Year box in step 2 of the Analyze Buy Versus Lease dialog box.
The calculations use 12 payments per year instead of the number you specify in the wizard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been fixed in the updated versions of the Quickbooks driver and Msapp.dll.
