This article was previously published under Q164105 SUMMARY
In Outlook 97 when you design a form and insert one or more Message or
Notes fields, you will receive the following warning message:
This form has more than one Message or Notes control. If more than
one control is visible at run time, only one control works.
MORE INFORMATION
An Outlook form should only contain one Message or Notes field. If you
place two or more Message or Notes fields within the same form, one of the
fields takes precedence and you receive the above warning.
Outlook's default e-mail Message form contains a Message field on the first
page of the form. If you create a new form, based on Outlook's default
Message form, and you insert a Message field on another page, you will
receive the above warning. The first page Message field will take
precedence.
Outlook's default Appointment form contains a Notes field on the first page
of the form. If you create a new form, based on Outlook's default
Appointment form, and you insert a Notes field on another page, you will
receive the above warning. The first page Notes field will take precedence.
You can resolve this problem by not displaying the first page of the form.
To suppress the first page, click the Message or Appointment tab and from
the Form menu, click to uncheck "Display This Page." Now only one Message
or Notes field is active.
