SYMPTOMS

When you run a KiXtart logon script with a Windows 95 client, you may receive blanks instead of the expected response in your logon script.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Kix32.dll file is not located in the Netlogon share of the logon server, or it does not exist in the path.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, place the Kix32.dll file in the Netlogon share of your domain controllers.

MORE INFORMATION

The Kix16.dll and Kix32.dll files work together to form a thunking layer that translates 16-bit applications to 32-bit applications and back again. Both .dll files are necessary to complete the thunking process.
