SUMMARY

Depending on the installation option selected during the set up of Microsoft Golf 3.0, some commentary sounds may not be installed.

The following is a breakdown of what commentary sounds are available with each installation option:

  • Minimum installation installs the Default commentary only.
  • Typical installation installs the Default, Classic, Tournament, and Attitude commentary.
NOTE: To install the Comedy commentary a Custom installation of Golf is required.

To add missing commentary to your installation of Golf 3.0, do the following:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Click the Install/Uninstall tab.
  4. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Golf 3.0, and then click Add/Remove.
  5. In the Golf 3.0 maintenance installation, click Add/Remove.
  6. Under Options, click Commentary, and then click Change Option.
  7. Select the check box next to the Commentary sounds you want to install.
  8. Click OK, and then click Continue to install the sounds.

There are five different game-play commentaries available in Golf 3.0; Classic, Default, Attitude, Tournament, and Comedy. The following is a description of each commentary type:

  • Classic: This commentary features the sounds from Microsoft Golf versions 1.0 and 2.0.

  • Default: This standard commentary closely resembles the Classic sounds but is a little more traditional.

  • Attitude: This dialog consists of amusing catch phrases, wisecracks, and snappy retorts.

  • Tournament: This narration has a whispering announcer who critiques every shot, while the gallery reacts in the background.

  • Comedy: For this commentary, put your ego aside as a comedic announcer tees off on your game.
