The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows CE Operating System, Versions 1.0
This article was previously published under Q162722 SYMPTOMS
When you view the Databases folder in H/PC Explorer, the status bar may
report an incorrect number of objects in the folder. The status bar
reports the correct number of objects when you view other folders.
CAUSE
Synchronization is disabled, which prevents you from viewing your
databases in H/PC Explorer. As a result, the H/PC Explorer status bar
incorrectly reports the number of objects in the Databases folder.
RESOLUTION
To cause the H/PC Explorer status bar to report the correct number of
objects, enable your Handheld PC (H/PC) to synchronize with your desktop
computer. To do so, follow these steps.
WARNING: You can synchronize only one H/PC with one desktop computer. If
you set up a partnership with a different desktop computer, all the
synchronized data from the original desktop computer is deleted from the
H/PC.
- In H/PC Explorer, click Synchronization Manager on the Tools menu.
- Click the "Enable Appointment, Contact, and Task synchronization" check
box to select it.
- Click Synchronize Now.
