When you attempt to copy or move a Microsoft Excel 97 file from your
desktop computer to your Handheld PC (H/PC), you receive the following
error message:
Cannot convert file '<filename>'. This Microsoft Excel file was created
in a version of Microsoft Excel that is not supported by the selected
converter. The Pocket Excel converter can only convert Microsoft Excel
5.0/95 files.
RESOLUTION
Install the latest version of H/PC Explorer software to resolve this
problem. Microsoft H/PC Explorer version 1.1 is available for download
from Microsoft's Internet site at:
MORE INFORMATION
File conversion from desktop Excel to Pocket Excel works the same as
before. Simply drag the file you want from the desktop to the H/PC
or from the H/PC to the desktop and conversion and file transfer
happen automatically. It's important that you install Microsoft
Office before installing H/PC Explorer so that H/PC Explorer can
find the desktop version of Excel and it's associated converter
software modules during setup.
