TMGR: Notes Preview in Color with Non-Color Printer (161742)

SYMPTOMS

Text in Notebook subjects, the People Notes view, and task, people, or assignment notes preview in color as formatted, even when you are using a non-color printer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

You can format the color of text in Notebook subjects and the People Notes view as follows:

Select the text to be formatted.
On the Format menu, click Font.
From the Color list, select a color, and then click OK.

The Notes field in views such as Task Organizer and Team List contains icons that you can double-clicked to display a dialog box for entering notes. You cannot directly format the color of text in this dialog box, but text color is retained if you paste text into it. You can format the color of people notes directly when using the People Notes view rather than the Team List view. When you print a view such as Task Organizer or Team List, task and assignment notes or people notes can be printed on pages at the end by selecting the Notes option on the View tab in the Page Setup dialog box.
