- Microsoft Publisher for Windows 3.0
- the operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
This article was previously published under Q160531 SYMPTOMS
If you insert a CompuServe GIF image into a publication and then
rotate that image, it may appear dithered or to have lost some of its
colors. The problem occurs with a picture that is in the GIF89a file
format and has the transparency feature enabled. The picture prints
correctly, even to a color printer, and displays correctly if you
export your publication as a Web page (Publisher 97 only).
CAUSE
This problem occurs with certain video cards and drivers. It affects
only the way the graphic appears on the screen, not the way it prints,
or the way it displays in a Web Browser.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
