The following article is a list of questions and answers regarding demo versions of DreamWorks products. Currently The Neverhood and Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant are the only products with a demo version, however, the current support policy applies to any future demos.

How do I get technical support for the demos?

We do not offer technical support for the Demo versions of the DreamWorks products.

Many questions and concerns will be answered by the information on the DreamWorks web site at http://www.dwi.com. Information on DirectX can be found on the Microsoft web site at http://www.microsoft.com/directx/.

How long will it take to download the demo?

The amount of time it takes to download the demo is largely dependent on the speed of your modem.

For The Neverhood, if you download the Full Demo file (Nevdemo_full.exe) which is 21.3 MB, it could take up to 6 hours to download using a 14.4 kbps modem. If you download the Lite Demo file (Nevdemo_lite.exe) which is 11.8 MB, it could take as long as 3 hours with a 14.4 kbps modem.

How do I get technical support for the downloadable demos?

We do not offer technical support for the demo versions of the DreamWorks products.

If you are unable to download the demos, please contact the DreamWorks web site at http://www.dwi.com and let the Webmaster know about the problem. If there is a problem with the file, the Webmaster is responsible.

How do I unzip and/or launch the Demo?

After you have downloaded the executable (.exe), do the following:
  1. Double-click the file.

    You will receive a window asking you to unzip the file and place it in the C:\Tempnev folder.
  2. Click Unzip.
  3. After the file is unzipped, locate the Tempnev folder on your hard disk.

    This folder should contain 4 files.
  4. Double-click on the Nevdemo.exe to run the Demo.
