This article was previously published under Q160109 SYMPTOMS
If the mailroot directory tree (Inetpub\Mailroot...) is deleted before
upgrading SMTP/POP3, only part of the tree will be created. Specifically,
the only two directories in the tree that are created are the
\Inetpub\Mailroot directories. The Queue, Badmail, Mailbox, and Pickup
directories are not created. This only happens during an upgrade.
MORE INFORMATION
In accordance with the Readme files included with RC1, upgrades are not
recommended.
