XFOR: Changing the Default Domain on an SMTP Server (160097)

After you change the SMTP domain from A to B, adding a user to the mail
system still shows the previous default domain (A).
CAUSE
Changing the mail domains for the SMTP server does not take effect.
MORE INFORMATION
The default domain does not get changed until you update it specifically
(by going to the domain page, setting it, and clicking Apply). Microsoft
does not suggest changing from one database to another with different
domains.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial
Internet System (MCIS) version 1.0. We are researching this problem and
will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
