OL97: How to Disable Annotation Marks in Replies and Forwards (159810)

An annotation mark is added to the beginning of each insertion in a reply
or forwarded e-mail message. This mark usually consists of the author's
name in brackets.
CAUSE
This is an editing option in Microsoft Outlook 97.
WORKAROUND
To disable the annotation feature, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- In the Options box, click the Reading tab.
- Click the "Mark my comments with" check box to clear it.
