SUMMARY

This article describes the process for adding people into your team file without getting the Team Member Settings dialog box each time you enter a new person.

MORE INFORMATION

People are added into a team file using the Add People button found in most views available from the People tab in Microsoft Team Manager. Using the Add People button brings up a dialog box where you can enter the names of the people you want to add to your team file.

You can also enter new people to the team file by entering them in the Team List view on the People Tab. In each of the following cases, you will receive only one dialog box asking if you want to send a team member settings message to the newly entered people.

Adding People Using the Add People Dialog Box

There are two ways to add people to your team file using the Add People dialog box:

  • You can use the Address Book button if it is available. This button will be available if you are using cc:Mail, Notes, Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft Outlook. Selecting this button will bring up the normal electronic mail Address Book where you can select people to include in your team file. You can select as many people as you want at one time before closing the Address Book dialog box. All people you select will be added to the team file when you click OK in the Add People dialog box.
  • In the Add People dialog box, you can type the names of the people you want to add to your team file, separating each name with a comma (,); for example, Bob Simmons, Jean Anderson, Frank Jones. When you finish entering all the names, click OK in the Add People dialog box.

Adding People in the Team List View

You can add people to your team file by doing the following:

  1. Click More Views on the View menu. Click Team List, and then click OK.
  2. Click Sorting on the Views menu, and then click Custom Sorting.
  3. Click any criteria in the Sort By list, and then click OK.
  4. Go to the last row in the view (it is blank) and enter your people information. When finished entering the person's information, press ENTER. This takes you to the next blank row where you are ready to enter another person.
