TMGR: Page Numbering Always Starts from Earliest Data in File (159637)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Team Manager

This article was previously published under Q159637

SYMPTOMS

You enable page numbers in the header or footer, you specify your print job to start from a date other than the beginning of the team plan, but your page numbers do not start at number one.

CAUSE

Microsoft Team Manager page numbers always start from the earliest data in the team file; there is no way to make page numbers relative to new dates.

STATUS

The behavior is by design in Microsoft Team Manager.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is most apparent in views such as the Work Calendar. For example, if you click Print on the File menu, you can select range options, such as All, This month, Next month, Dates From and To, and Pages From and To.

These options control where the print job starts, but they do not influence the page number. Therefore, if you click This Mnth for the Work Calendar, your print job will consist of just the pages that make up this month's tasks, but your page numbers are relative to ALL pages as if the All range option had been selected.

Page numbers are disabled by default. To enable page numbers, do the following:

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. Click the Header or Footer tab, and click the Left, Center, or Right tab, depending on where you want the page number located on your printed page.
  3. Click the Page Number button, and then click OK.
