PPT97: Shade From Title Wrong When WordArt Pasted Into Title (159404)

If you create a slide that uses the Shade From Title style of background
shading and then paste a WordArt object into the Title placeholder of that
slide, the shaded background is displayed incorrectly. Instead of appearing
as a smooth gradient, the background of the slide may appear as a solid
color with an irregular region of a contrasting color around the Title
object. In addition, parts of the slide background may appear covered
with jagged lines in the contrast color.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, click Paste Special rather than Paste on
the Edit menu, click Picture (Enhanced Metafile) in the As list, and
then click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
