TMGR: Text in Notes Included in Reply from Manager (159394)

SYMPTOMS

When a team member sends an update to the manager with text included in the Notes field, and the manager replies to the update and adds more text to the Notes field, the original text will show twice, unless the manager deletes it when replying.

When the manager is sending an update to the team member, any previous notes from the team member are shown in the Notes field so that the manager can respond to them. When the team member is viewing an update, any previous sent notes are listed and the replies from the manager are listed. Because the replies include the original text, that original text will be duplicated.

The only work around to avoid this duplication is for the manager to delete the original text when replying. When the manager opens the Notes field, the text is automatically highlighted to be deleted. If the text is left highlighted, it will be deleted when the new text is typed.
