TMGR: New Plan Not Available in Team Assign Message (159380)

SYMPTOMS

A new, unsaved plan in Microsoft Team Manager will not be displayed as a choice to update in a TeamAssign message sent from Microsoft Project for Windows when opened in mail.

CAUSE

The bottom of the TeamAssign message displays a drop-down list of plans to update in Microsoft Team Manager. If Team Manager is open with a new, unsaved plan at the same time the message is received and opened, the new plan is not available on the drop-down list to update.

WORKAROUND

To have the new plan be displayed as a choice, follow these steps:

  1. Close the TeamAssign message in mail.
  2. Start Team Manager, save the plan, and quit Team Manager.
  3. Start Team Manager and open the desired plan.
  4. Open the TeamAssign mail message. Note that the plan is available as a choice to update in the message.
