FIX: SET ANSI_WARNINGS ON Option Does Not Generate Warnings (159372)

SYMPTOMS
The SET ANSI_WARNINGS ON option does not cause an error if an INSERT or
UPDATE statement violates the maximum specified field length of the column
it is inserted into. For references on the maximum lengths of each
datatype, refer to your documentation.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.5. We
are researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
