Readme.wri
The Readmi.wri is located in the root of the SourceSafe directory. This
file contains helpful information about installation, documentation notes,
new features, and additional tips. If you do not have this Readme.wri, it
is available in sections from the Microsoft Knowledge base. These articles
can be found by entering "Readme.wri" as the words to search for on the
Microsoft SourceSafe Knowledge Base Web page.

Go to the SourceSafe home page at www.microsoft.com/SSafe for many support
options such as frequently asked questions (FAQs), Knowledge Base articles,
and product and technical information. Additionally, go to:

Peer-to-Peer Newsgroups
Peer-to-Peer Newsgroups (news:Microsoft.public.visualsourceSafe) are online
conversations among users of Visual SourceSafe.
Microsoft Developers Network (MSDN) CD-ROM
MSDN is a paid subscription service and contains developer product
Knowledge Base articles, selected Microsoft Software Library files, and
other technical documentation. MSDN is distributed quarterly.

TechNet CD-ROM
Microsoft TechNet is the front-line resource for fast, complete answers to
technical questions on Microsoft products. On each Microsoft TechNet

resources. TechNet is distributed monthly and is available by paid annual

Microsoft Press and Other Third Party Books
Books are generally a good source of technical and "how to" information.

(677-7377) for a complete listing of available books. Currently, there are
no books from Microsoft Press that deal exclusively with SourceSafe, but
you may find Visual C++ or Visual Basic books helpful if you are dealing
with integration issues. If you are using SourceSafe integration under
Visual Basic, there are several books that may be helpful. Two books are:
