OFF97: Hyperlinks Do Not Use Browser-Defined Colors (157851)

In the Microsoft Office programs listed at the beginning of this article,
hyperlink colors do not match the colors that you define for a hyperlink or
a followed hyperlink in the default World Wide Web browser on your
computer.
CAUSE
Microsoft Office programs use their own color scheme for hyperlinks. This
color scheme may differ from the hyperlink color scheme that you define for
the default Internet browser on your computer.
NOTE: You can create a different hyperlink color scheme for each Microsoft
Office program.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, set the hyperlink color scheme in each of the
Microsoft Office programs.
Microsoft Excel 97- On the Format menu, click Style.
- In the Style Name list click either Hyperlink or Followed Hyperlink.
NOTE: To access these options, you must insert a hyperlink or a
followed hyperlink in the workbook.
- Click Modify, and then click the Font tab.
- Select a color in the Color list.
Microsoft Word 97- On the Format menu, click Style.
- In the Style Name list, click either Hyperlink or FollowedHyperlink.
NOTE: To access these options, you must insert a hyperlink or a
followed hyperlink in the workbook.
- Click Modify, click Format, and then click Font.
- Select a color in the Color list.
Microsoft PowerPoint 97- On the Format menu, click Slide Color Scheme.
- Click the Custom tab and click either Hyperlink or Followed Hyperlink,
and then click Change Color.
