PI: Microtek Scanners May Crop and Rotate Incorrectly (157793)

If you use Microtek scanners and scanner software, the Picture It! Smart
Task Scan feature may crop or rotate your pictures incorrectly.
CAUSE
Microtek ScanWizard software includes a feature that can change the scaling
of scanned images. When the ScanWizard scaling parameter is set to values
other than the default setting of 100% your picture my crop or rotate
incorrectly.
RESOLUTION
To reset the scaling parameter and rescan the picture, do the following:
- On the Get It! menu, click Scan Picture.
- Select the Microtek scanner (32-bit).
- Near the bottom of the task pane, click Custom Scan.
- click Scan to launch the Microtek ScanWizard program.
- On the View menu of the ScanWizard program, click Show Settings
Window.
- In the Settings window, change the Scaling parameter value to 100%,
and press ENTER.
- Exit the ScanWizard program.
- In the Picture It! SCAN PICTURE task pane, select Smart Task Scan.
- Click Scan.
