SUMMARY

If you do not hear sounds in Microsoft Picture It!, do the following:
  • Make sure that your sound card is installed correctly and that the volume is turned up.
  • On the View menu, click Options, and then make sure the Play Picture It! Sounds check box is selected.
  • Try to play sounds in other Microsoft Windows programs.
If you still cannot play sounds, you may not have audio compression installed for your sound card.

To install audio compression, follow these steps:
  1. In Windows, click Start, point to Click Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click the Windows Setup tab.
  3. Click Multimedia, and then click Details.
  4. Click to select the Audio Compression check box, and then click OK.
  5. Click OK to exit Control Panel.
