PPT97: Keyboard Shortcuts Don't Appear on Slide Popup Menu (157620)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q157620 SYMPTOMS
When you run a Slide Show in Microsoft PowerPoint 97, and click the pop-up
menu button or right-click the slide, the menu that appears does not
display the keyboard equivalents for the following commands:
Command Windows Shortcut
-----------------------------------
Pen CTRL+P
Arrow CTRL+A
These keyboard commands work; they just don't appear on the menu.
CAUSE
In the Office 97 programs, the keyboard equivalents for menu commands
do not appear on popup menus. For example, if you click the Edit menu in
Word 97, the keyboard command CTRL+C appears next to the Copy command. If
you right-click a drawn rectangle, the Copy command appears on the popup
menu without the CTRL+C next to it.
This functionality is different from earlier versions of Office.
