PPT97: Background Does Not Update When Changing Slide Layout (157571)

SYMPTOMS

If you change a slide's layout while running the presentation as a slide show, the background of the slide may not update to follow the master. Specifically, if your presentation has a different background on the Title Master than it does on the Slide Master, and you change a slide's layout to or from the Title AutoLayout, the background is wrong when you switch back to the Slide Show.

RESOLUTION

If you stop the slide show and then start it again, all the slides display with the proper backgrounds.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
