PPT97: Last Slide Inserted Not Displayed With Undo/Redo (157312)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q157312 SYMPTOMS
After you exit the Slide Finder after inserting some slides from a
file, the current slide is the last slide you inserted. If you then
click Undo Insert Slides from Files on the Edit menu and click
Redo Insert Slides from Files, the current slide is the slide previous
to the newly added slides.
CAUSE
When you change views or switch from slide to slide, PowerPoint does not
treat that action as one that can be undone or redone. You never see an
Undo View Slide command on the Edit menu. In this case, the Undo and Redo
commands only apply to the addition and removal of slides and not the
change in Slide view.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here
in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
