SUMMARY

Creative Writer 2 has an "Add This Word to the Dictionary" feature in the spelling checker that creates a custom dictionary for additional, user- added words. It is possible to edit words that are added to the dictionary, erroneously or otherwise.

To edit the custom dictionary, use the following steps:

  1. Locate \Program Files\Microsoft Kids\Creative Writer\System.
  2. Locate the User.Lex file in this location.
  3. Open the User.Lex file with WordPad or another text editor.
  4. Remove or add entries on a line-by-line basis.
  5. Save the User.Lex file.
