SUMMARY

When you create a new Web Page publication, the default text attributes may not match the text attributes in Normal.pub. The default text attributes for Web Site publications come from the style called [Web body].

MORE INFORMATION

If you save a publication as Normal.pub to the Template folder beneath the Microsoft Publisher folder, new Blank Page publications you create have the same default settings for the text and drawing tools as Normal.pub.

In the case of Web Page publications, however, the default text attributes come from the style [Web body] instead of Normal.pub. If you wish to control the text attributes for your Web publications, do the following:
  1. In the Publisher Startup dialog box, click Blank Page and then click Web Page. Click OK to create a blank Web Page publication.
  2. On the Format menu, click Text Styles.
  3. Click [Web body] on the list of available styles. Click the Change This Style button.
  4. Make any changes to the style that you wish. Click Close when you aredone. If you wish, you can change the settings for any of the drawing tools.
  5. On the File menu, click Save.
  6. In the Save As dialog box, click the Template box and type a name for this publication.
The next time you wish to create a Web Page publication, click the Templates tab in the Startup dialog box and choose the template you just created. The default text style in this new publication is what you defined.
