SUMMARY

If the transaction you want to enter into the Register contains zero in the Amount field, the following dialog box will appear:

The amount of the transaction you are entering is zero. What do you want to do?

Leave the amount zero

Change the amount

Mark the transaction as Void

Delete the transaction (Note that this option does not appear in Money 2001 and later.)

MORE INFORMATION

These are guidelines for choosing each option.

Change the amount: This is the default option. This will take you back to the amount field.

Leave the amount as zero: Microsoft does not recommend this because balancing the account can become more difficult.

Mark the transaction as Void: Microsoft recommends that you void an existing transaction rather than zero out the amount.

Delete the transaction: Use this option if you want to remove the transaction from the account book.
