IDE Controller Marked as SCSI in Boot.ini File (155118)

After installing Windows NT 4.0 on an IDE hard disk, you may receive the
following error message:
Windows NT could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk
hardware.
Please check the Windows NT documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional
information.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if the IDE hard disk is misdetected as a SCSI drive
in the Boot.ini file.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
- Edit the Boot.ini file. Replace "scsi" with "multi" (without
quotation marks).
- Delete or rename the Ntbootdd.sys file in the root folder.
