PUB: Object Pasted As Picture Loses Irregular Crop Boundary (155110)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Publisher for Windows 3.0
This article was previously published under Q155110 SYMPTOMS
If you copy a picture that has an irregularly wrapped boundary around it,
then use the Paste Special command on the Edit menu to paste it as a
picture, the copy won't have an irregularly wrapped boundary.
CAUSE
When you crop a picture (irregularly or otherwise), the cropping is
a property of the picture frame, not the picture. If you select an object
and click Copy on the Edit menu, and then click Paste on the Edit menu,
both the object and its frame are pasted in. If you click Paste Special
on the Edit menu and then choose Picture, the picture is pasted into a
new rectangular picture frame.
RESOLUTION
If you want to paste a picture with an irregularly wrapped boundary around
it, click Paste instead of Paste Special.
