SYMPTOMS

If a task with some unassigned work is marked complete, the unassigned work for the task is removed.

MORE INFORMATION

If some of the work on a task is unassigned, that work is removed when the task is marked complete. Team Manager assumes that because the work was never assigned, it was never done.

To ensure that all work is reported correctly, make sure a person is assigned to the work.

If you mark the task complete, you will receive the following message:
You are marking a task complete that has remaining work. If this work was performed, you can enter it as actual work now. If this work was not performed, you can discard it.
If you use the Grouped by People feature to view the work assignments, you will see the unassigned work for a task disappear from the view when the unassigned work is marked 100% complete.
