TMGR: Zero Work Causes Task Start Time at 12:00 AM (154765)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q154765 SUMMARY
If a task or a person on a task has zero work, then the start time for the
task is at 12:00 AM.
MORE INFORMATION
The start time for a task with zero work is set to 12:00 AM because the
task does not have to be scheduled with any other tasks. If the work on the
task is increased above zero, the task is scheduled based on the other
tasks in the team file.
You can force the time to be other than 12:00 AM by setting an Exactly On
date. To do so, select the task, click Task properties on the Edit
menu, click the Scheduling tab, click to select Exactly On, and enter a
date.
