TMGR: No Red Alerts on Unassigned Overloaded Work Tasks (153884)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Team Manager

This article was previously published under Q153884

SUMMARY

Red alerts do not appear on tasks that have no people assigned, even if the task needs attention.

MORE INFORMATION

The red alert is used to emphasize a problem on a task. It is also used to offer help to a new user. When the red alert is clicked, a message explaining the alert is displayed and offers more help to resolve the conflict. Until a person is assigned, the red alert and the associated information does not apply.

A task without an assignment is already considered a task that needs attention. To see tasks that need attention, click the Vital Signs tab, and then click a view, such as "Tasks with Unassigned Work" or "Tasks that Need Attention."
