SUMMARY

If tasks that have multiple people assigned are sorted by start date and then grouped by people, the sort will no longer apply.

MORE INFORMATION

When tasks are sorted by start date, the start date that is used for task and for the sort is that of the earliest person on the task. If the tasks are then grouped by person, the tasks stay in the same task order, which may not be the start order for the specific person's work.

Two people assigned to the same task do not necessarily work at the same time on the task. If one person is available before the other, then the task start is determined by the first person available. The sort is only looking at the start of the task and not of the individual person's work; so, within a specific person's task list (when grouped by people), the work for the person on a task may look like it is out of sorted order because of the person's start being independent of the task's start.
