TMGR: Cannot Use Address Book from Team List View (153348)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q153348 SUMMARY
In Microsoft Team Manager, the Team List view is the only view that does
not provide a way to show the Address Book when you insert a new person.
You must manually enter all information when adding a person in this view.
MORE INFORMATION
In all views, except the Team List view, the Insert menu's People command
shows the Add People form, where you can enter the person's full name in
the Full name box, or enter the person from the Address Book by clicking
the Address Book button. You can enter multiple people by separating their
names by commas in the box, or by selecting multiple people from the
Address Book.
In the Team List view, the Insert menu's People command does not show the
Add People form. Instead, it inserts a blank record at the selected row,
and then puts a blinking insertion point in the first column, waiting for
information to be entered. Note that the Full Name field is required and
must be present in the table to insert a person this way.
WORKAROUND
If you want to use the Address Book to insert a new person, follow these
steps: - Switch to any view except the Team List view. For example, click the
People tab, click the arrow on the left end of the view banner, and
then click Profile Information.
- On the Insert menu, click Add People.
- In the Add People form, click the Address Book button.
