SUMMARY

A new recurring task that is created in a view that is grouped by a custom field will not inherit the value of the other tasks in that group for that custom field.

MORE INFORMATION

When tasks are grouped by a custom field grouping, a new task inherits the value of the grouping for that custom field. This behavior does not occur for recurring tasks. Recurring tasks inherit the default settings for the field instead of the value of the other tasks in the group.
