SYMPTOMS

When you print labels on a Panasonic KX-P printer, the labels may advance when printing, causing skipped pages or labels. The top margin unprintable region may be very large and the labels may align incorrectly. This may occur even though the labels look correct in the Print Preview.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by using version 1.0 of the Windows 3.1x Panasonic printer driver. This driver has problems using custom page sizes and it is most noticeable with continuous labels with 12 inch page size between perforations.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem do one of the following:

Upgrade to version 2.0 of the Panasonic printer driver.

-or-

Use an emulation mode driver such as the Epson LQ850, when printing labels.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem has been reproduced on the Panasonic KX-P 1123, 2023 and 2123 printers, using version 1.0 of the Panasonic driver.

The Panasonic KX-P driver included with Windows 95 does not cause this behavior when using custom page sizes.
