MORE INFORMATION

Money requires a connection to a communication port to use Online Services. ISDN modems, cable modems, and WinModems do not use communications ports in the same way as a standard modem. ISDN modems and cable modems use dial-up networking to connect directly to a communications port. WinModems virtualize the communications ports so money is not able to connect to a communications port. NOTE: It has been reported that the MWave sound/modem chip on IBM Thinkpads and Aptivas may also cause the error mentioned at the top of this article. New drivers for the US Robotics Winmodems and the IBM MWave modems are available from the respective companies.
