SYMPTOMS

When you try to generate a Report with the Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager for Microsoft Excel (SBFM), you may receive the following error message
No Files found in Report Template Directory. Please re-install
and you are not able to continue to make a report.

Also, if you try to perform a What-If analysis using SBFM, you may receive the following error message
Run-time error '76':
Path not found
and you are not able to continue to do the What-If analysis.

CAUSE

You may receive the error messages if your version of Microsoft Excel is being run from a network server.

RESOLUTION

The only workaround to this behavior is to do the following:

  1. Uninstall your "run from network server" installation of Microsoft Excel.
  2. Do a new local installation of Microsoft Excel.
  3. Run setup for SBFM and choose the Reinstall maintenance mode setup option.

STATUS

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager for Microsoft Excel.
