SUMMARY

In the versions of Microsoft Money listed at the beginning of this article, the Bill or Payment Reminder loads automatically when the computer starts. The Reminder icon is displayed on the taskbar in the lower-right corner of the screen.

To turn off the Reminder icon, right-click the icon in the taskbar, and then click Close Bill or Payment Reminder (or click Exit Money Express in Money 2000 and later).

To permanently disable the Reminder, follow these steps:
  1. Start Money.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click the Bills and Deposits tab (in Money 2000 and later), the Bills tab (in Money 99), the Bill Reminder tab (in Money 98), or the Payment Reminder tab.
  4. Click to clear the Use Money Express check box (in Money 2000 and later).

    Under Bill Reminder, click to clear the Use The Bill Reminder check box (in Money 98 and 99) or the Use The Payment Reminder check box.
  5. Click OK.
